The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to him, "Rabbi, where are you staying?"  He said to them, "Come, and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him...   -John 1:37-39

Gathered into the warm embrace of community life, the postulant learns of the austere and difficult things that lead to God, but also the joy of those who walk along this way, led by Christ's unfailing light.


 

 
 
 
Afterwards, her hair having been cut and secular dress laid aside, she enters more fully into the Gospel life of a Poor Clare as a novice. Under the kind and watchful guidance of the Novice Mistress, the little plant of Saint Francis learns to turn her face to the sun and to sink her roots into blessed, fertile field.
